I’m Emmanuel.
I’m based in London and have a BA in English Literature and Mandarin Chinese from the University of Exeter and Peking University.
After studying and working in China, India, Germany and France and almost two years as a Researcher at the Houses of Parliament, I moved into international environmental policy and strategic communications, where I now work.
The greatest influences on my writing have been Percy Bysshe Shelley, T.S. Eliot, Margaret Atwood, Oscar Wilde, Anton Chekhov, and of course, Virginia Woolf. I have conducted research on the haunting influences of Victorianism, childhood and death in her life and works.
